Maria Garcia de Huerta, age 73, of Gainesville, TX, passed away September 4, 2026 in Denton, TX. Maria was born June 2, 1953 in Tula, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

Survivors include: her children, the Huerta Garcia family: Jose Luis, Graciela, Rosalinda, Maribel, Alfredo, and Omar; her grandchildren: Jesus Jr., Luis, Uriel, Eden, Rigoberto Jr., Gabriela, Michelle, Neymar, Angelica Ma., Vanesa, Mariela, Berenise, Jose Luis Jr., Liza Maria, Alexis, Janth, Giselle, Alfredo Jr., Diego, Aracely, Omar Jr. Giovani, and Adriel; eight great-grandchildren; sisters (Garcia): Santiaga and Antonia; and brothers (Garcia): Martin, Roberto, Pedro, and Santos.

Services: A Rosary service is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home (Gainesville), with visitation to follow from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, beginning at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (Gainesville). A committal service will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery (Gainesville).
