Melonie Joy Franklin

The funeral service for Melonie Joy Franklin, 61, of Gainesville, is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Commerce Street Church of Christ with Bro. Ken Olison officiating.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 3 at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Franklin was born October 24, 1960.  She passed away May 28, 2022 in Gainesville.

Survivors include: husband Harold D. Franklin of Gainesville; daughter Riannon Dougherty of Gainesville; son Zachary Garner and wife Bridget of Little Elm; daughter Trinity Franklin of Gainesville; daughter-in-spirit Brittany Gates and husband Steven of Gainesville; many others she viewed as children; grandchildren: David and Kiley Dougherty, and Elizabeth Garner; mother Ida Lou Haley of Gainesville; sister Brenda Sampson of Gainesville; sister Lou Ann Pope of Gainesville; sister Tina Crisp of Allen; sister Michelle Crisp of Gainesville; sister Darla Wilson and husband Donny of Gainesville; sister-in-law Wanda Crisp of Gainesville; and many beloved sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Franklin was preceded in death by: father Troy Crisp; brother Joseph Crisp; sister Terry Lynn Pierce; and aunt and uncle Rose and Frank Miller.
