Michael Hugo Bezner, 78, of Denton, TX, passed away March 31, 2022 at Good Samaritan Village in Denton.
Michael was born July 3, 1943 in Detroit, MI and grew up in Lindsay, TX when the family moved in 1951. Michael lived and worked in Denton since 1971. He was employed by, and retired from, the University of North Texas as a shipping clerk. Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus were very important to Michael. The focus of Michael’s life was faith and family.
Michael’s parents are Margaret and William Bezner, both deceased. He is survived by sister Marlene Bass and husband Jim of Fort Worth; brother Joseph Bezner and wife Marliese of Houston; sister Rosemary Schindler and husband Jim of Pilot Point; sister Bernadette Bezner of San Antonio; brother Will Bezner and wife Catherine of Lindsay; and many beloved nieces and nephews, with whom he made many good memories.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:30 A.M. on Monday, April 4, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Denton. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Lindsay. A Rosary Prayer Service is scheduled for 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 3, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville. The family will receive friends following the Rosary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of Divine Providence of San Antonio.
