Montana Neileen McMann Davis, 92, of Gordonville, Texas passed away July 18th, 2026 at Whitesboro Health & Rehabilitation Center of Whitesboro, Texas, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on January 31, 1934 in Long Creek, Oregon to Jack McMann and Luella Marjorie (Thompson) McMann.
Montana married Lonnie Eugene (Gene) Davis, May 29th 1953. They were blessed with 5 children and 63 years of marriage. ‘Tana’ spent much of her life running a Thoroughbred breeding farm and going on to be a licensed Thoroughbred Race Horse trainer. She was not only ‘Nana’ to her grandchildren and great grandchildren but so many more who loved her. Montana was known for her welcoming hugs as a greeter at the church she attended in Whitesboro.
Montana is survived by her children, Susan Davis Marques, Alison Davis Williams, Brett Davis and Erin Davis Fletcher.
Grandchildren, Tyler and Torrin Dugger, Courtney and Sterling Britt, Sierra Clark and Ian Williams, Brandon, Daylon Davis and Brittany Clayton, Destry Fletcher and numerous great grandchildren.
She leaves behind her special companion Lee Harmon.
Montana will be reunited in Heaven with her husband Gene Davis, her daughter Shawn Davis Britt, her parents Jack and Luella McMann, brothers Jack and William Kelly and sisters Rene Carter and Betty Cannon.
The family will receive friends at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville, Texas on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Davis will be laid to rest at Long Creek Cemetery of Long Creek Oregon.
