Nancy Munden Noah, or Nanny to her grandchildren, recently passed away surrounded by the love she nurtured throughout her life.
Nancy was born in Ft. Worth, Tx and grew into a woman whose creativity, faith and devotion to family were sewn into every facet of her life.
Nancy is survived by her children John Noah, Jr. and wife Beverly and Cindy Clayton and husband Roy.; her grandchildren, Holly Noah, Ryan Noah and wife Donna, Julya Luna and husband Jose, Kristen Baggett and husband Colby; great grandchildren, Cameron Rutherford, Jacob Rutherford, Molly Baggett, Lucy Baggett, Gabriella Luna and Lawson Luna.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Noah Sr, her parents, and brother, Tom Munden.
Nancy had a vibrant spirit and a talent for turning ordinary materials into extraordinary beauty. Her passions were sewing, crafting, reading, cooking, playing games with family, and many other activities. She loved decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas. She enjoyed passing her talents on to her children and grandchildren. She had an abundance of patience and was always willing to help others.
She was a long time member of First Methodist Church and volunteered for several local organizations including Home Hospice of Cooke County and Second Time Around. She also worked for GISD in the Principals office at Gainesville High School during the seventies.
Nancy was born in Ft. Worth, Tx on November 2, 1929. She married John Noah, Sr November 26, 1947 after meeting him while they attended TCU. They were happily married for 57 years until his death in 2005.
A private family service will be held with burial following at Fairview Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Cooke County Library or Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter.
