It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rhea Valdine Ogletree, a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed from this world on August 19, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on June 25, 1957, in Elk City, Oklahoma, Rhea illuminated the lives of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love and that will forever be cherished.

Rhea was a graduate of Callisburg High School, where she first began to shine with her vibrant personality. Her educational journey laid the foundation for her lifelong passion for caring for others, which she carried into her career as a home health caregiver until her well-deserved retirement. Rhea's unwavering dedication to those in her care showcased her nurturing spirit and profound empathy.

In her personal life, Rhea found her soulmate in Joey Stockwell. Their love story began in a serendipitous encounter where they danced the night away, instantly electrified by their connection. This spark ignited a beautiful bond that stood the test of time, as they navigated life's joys and challenges together.

Rhea is preceded in death by her loving grandparents Loyal and Margarite Miller; her sisters Wilma McCage and Teresa Ogletree; her brother Terrill Ogletree; and her cherished grandson Terrill Jeffcoat. She is survived by her devoted husband JoeyStockwell; her children Chris Jeffcoat husband Brett, Chansi Shope husband Chris, Stephanie Muniz husband Jaun, Jolinn Muniz husband Jesus, Maeleigh Muniz husband Angel, and CJ Stockwell. Rhea was a proud grandmother to eleven wonderful grandchildren: Kya, Bee, Crimson, Cassidy, Viktorya, Brooke, Colton, Heaven, Josalinn, Isaac, and Chloe.

Rhea's family was her world, and her love knew no bounds. She had a unique gift for making everyone feel special, always ready with a witty response that could light up a room. Whether she was sewing a new creation, cooking a delicious meal, or dancing to her favorite tunes, Rhea embraced life with enthusiasm and grace. Her radiant smile and impeccable style turned heads wherever she went, embodying her belief that life should be celebrated.

Rhea's nurturing spirit extended beyond her family to her many nieces, nephews, and cherished longtime friends. She was the life of every gathering, the friend who lent a helping hand without hesitation, and the confidante who listened with an open heart. Rhea was a beacon of love, known for her warmth, generosity.

She is also survived by her mother Annaleta Thompson; her sisters Sharon Steed (King) and Julie Dooley; her brother Randall Ogletree; her uncle Carrol Miller and his wife Diane; and a host of loving family and friends who will deeply miss her.

A viewing will be held at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home in Gainesville on August 28th from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, TX, allowing friends and family to pay their respects. Rhea’s funeral service will take place at Custer City Baptist Church on August 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM, where we will gather to honor and celebrate her extraordinary life.

In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in the memories of Rhea Valdine Ogletree—her laughter, her love, and her unyielding spirit will remain in our hearts forever. May she rest in peace, embraced by the love she so freely gave.
