Sabrina “Peni” Penelope Gilbreath, 65, of Sanger, Texas, passed away on July 23, 2025.

Sabrina was born in Coral Gables, Florida. She was a graduate of Eastwood High School, El Paso, Texas and received her associate’s degree in Business at El Paso Community College. It was in El Paso, Texas that she met and married her husband of 38 years.

Sabrina Worked for Alpo Dog Company in Chamberino, NM, and later Nuroscan in El Paso, Texas until she and her husband moved to Sanger, Texas to start second careers. There Sabrina worked for the University of North Texas in the chemistry department until her retirement in May, 2020.

Sabrina loved to go on cruises, shop for antiques with her husband and go to the movies.

Sabrina is survived by her husband West Gilbreath; her two sisters and one brother Melissa Becker, her husband Wayne Becker, Patricia McGee, and Jeffrey Knisley; mother-in-law Eileen Gilbreath; father-in-law Hayden Gilbreath; step-daughter Rhonee Freeman and her husband John Freeman; two granddaughters, Lori and Addison Freeman of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; her uncle Rick Robinson and aunt Susie Robinson of Ohio.

A graveside service will be held on September 13th at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Muenster, Texas where Sabrina will be interred next to her mother, Barbara Knisley.
