Tina Maria Trinidad Downey

Funeral services Tina Maria Trinidad Downey, 78, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Mountain View Full Gospel Church with Bro. Jerry Gunsolus officiating. Interment will follow at Foster Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral. Arrangements are under the care of Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Downey passed away December 9, 2025 in Gainesville. She was born February 28, 1947 in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to many.

Survivors include: daughter Betty Jackson and former husband Olen of Gainesville; daughter Ruby Walker and former husband Dwayne of Athens; son Billy Downey and wife Cheryl of Gainesville; son Erman Downey Jr. and wife Angie of Gainesville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mrs. Downey was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Erman, “Okie” Downey, and her brother and sister.
