Vanessa Ann Zimmerer, 32, of Lindsay, passed away July 26, 2025. Although her time here was all too short, the lives she touched and memories she made will leave an enduring legacy.
Vanessa was born September 23, 1992 in Denton, TX. She was raised in Lindsay and graduated from Lindsay High School, Class of 2011, where she excelled in cheerleading. After completing the nursing program at North Central Texas College, Vanessa graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Her career in nursing was truly a calling, as her caring and dependable personality made her an exceptional caregiver.
When she wasn’t caring for others, she was taking care of her beloved family. Vanessa married David Zimmerer in Lindsay on July 11, 2015. Nothing meant more to her than spending time with her children, although she would occasionally help on the farm. Vanessa had a million-dollar smile and a contagious laugh that said it all. She was an incredible wife, mother, daughter, sister, daughter-in-law, and sister-in-law. Her greatest joys in life were her husband and sons. Vanessa could light up a room when she walked through the door. Her love for people extended into her chosen career of nursing. She led a simple and selfless life, but a life filled with total joy and happiness.
